Pictors

I found a tutorial on how to make real photographs look like they're photos of miniature scenes. it's called Tiltshift photography. Much like the photographs on Adult Swim if you've seen those before. Here's a few attempts I made (using photographs either my friend or I took ourselves, not taken from the internet):

From the top of some mountain in Acadia National Park (I think).

A picture of somewhere in NewYork.

Much apologies

*sigh* I sort of had a rough patch in life ealier and left a lot of things alone. Including my blogspot.
But trying to start where I left off here is the result of the contest entry I was working on:I got third place, in which my prize was some copic markers... they never sent them to me. I probably got third because I didn't have time to make the complicated background I wanted.

And on another note I am working on 2 commissions, 1 birthday gift, 1 comic, 1 video game and my first 3D art. All of this I thought was too much so I dropped everything to finish the commissions, and then I'll work on the birthday gift and the comic. (I'd show you a screen shot of the 3D project and game, but I don't have them on this computer. I'm on spring break with my mom helping her clean up the house for selling, as she is moving)
I'll put up sketches of the first pages of the comic once I get the sketches done.

In the mean time here's some other pics:
An extreme close up of the birthday gift:And an art trade with emorottie from deviantart (he doesn't like Sonic as you can tell):

Lion-O

Definitely not lion-O.
Any way, my friend alerted me to a contest which I'm entering over here. I think I have a good chance of winning seeing as the contest is four times a year and I think only one person has entered each time lol. The prize is a wacom intuos3 tablet 6x8, which beats the crap out of the tablet I have now. haha

It's a cool contest, and I encourage you to enter it. It'd suck if you beat me, but at least there's another contest later this year.

I have a good bit of the picture done, but I'm only going to show the sketch until I'm done with it.
This is one of the only pictures where I've used symmetry to the point of copying one side and flipping it. I think it looks really nice. But let me say this, I only copy and pasted the sketch, I'm painting each side.

I'm pretty proud of how this picture is turning out, I might even print it as a poster or something and hang it in my new apartment right next to the Wall-E poster I think my other friend is giving me.

Oh and go here to buy shirts, or else you're not cool!

The Kid

Quick sketches before bed. My friend got a screen shot of my 15,oooth pageview on DA, so I said I'd draw him something and he wants me to draw his character. These is are drawings of his character, but the one I'm going to make for him is going to be much grander.

basically done

I don't feel up to adding colors I don't know if Open Canvas has any line tools, but I don't think I could finish the background with out them. What ever here's the finished thing for a friend's friend (the last pic for a friend's friend >_<):

Raccoon Character

Character designs for a raccoon character.

First sketch: only the description of "it's a raccoon guy."
Second sketch: more detail given on the character's personality.

Both created using the Open Canvas 4 trial version, and even though it's not supported on vista, it still works. Though there are lots of glitches but I'm getting to know how to get around them.

Long time no see.

I took up a small job as a colorist for a webcomic. Here are two sample pages:

The first one is an example of what the comic will normally look like (drawn by Brandon Zuckerman), the second one is drawn by a different artist (Andrew Snook). The second one also had a considerably greater amount of effort put into it. I won't be putting that much work into the comic, because it takes too much time and I lost interest a few times.

Zoop

I've been having the toughest time with photoshop over the past 5 days or so. X[
But it's fixed now.

And here's an OC session between smoh, pretzel, and myself:

10 points if you can remember where that old man and fish are from! I'll give you a hint: it's from one of my previous drawings.

New Camera for Glenn

My friend bought a new camera and we went to town taking pictures.. at Bud and David's house:Bud and David Lewis, some cool dudes right there!
Matt in Bud's room, covering his face with a Berserk manga. Any one recognise that picture on the wall? :)
John Morehouse, he's in the army... and he's a pimp.
Greg, he's a bad ass guitarist, and probably also a pimp. I don't think the world can handle three of him yet.
And here's Parker with a Kendo sword, he's also pretty good on the guitar. I like the focus change on this picture from foreground to background.
Look it's me.. and me.
Here's Glenn, the owner of this shinny new camera, he probably put this picture on his facebook. He's addicted.

The view from mine and Glenn's dorm room. And that on the window is my now deceased grandma's cat scan.

I'm sorry

I have been neglecting you blogspot, but I'll make sure to pay attention to you. I'll blame school's demand for my attention and threatening me that if I don't give it at least some love I'll get a C or lower in one of my classes.

koghkjbvrebker

OC with Dawkz

The tiger was drawn because I forgot how to draw tigers.
The headless teddybear was a quick VOID character design, and so was the pac dude (dawkz) and ghost dude (mine). The guy in the upper right is Dane Cook. Great comic.

and another on bites the dust

Once I get to a computer with a monitor that's younger than 8 years, I'm going to have to adjust the brightness and contrast on these ArtRage pictures because they look fine on this monitor, but I know they look off on a normaly monitor.
.
.
And no, this isn't a vent picture I just wanted to paint that character again.

Another ArtRage

.
The great thing about ArtRage is that you can make pictures in it using only a mouse.
.
.
.
.
.
Made for Pretzel.
.
.
If the colors look off that's because of the monitor I'm using, it's REALLY dark.
